Hats must come off at the Ottawa First M. E. church. The minister has been trying to overcome the vanity of woman, but has only half succeeded. Now the official board has taken the matter up and has issued a mandatory order that women must remove their hats during service. – Ottawa Herald

The ladies of the Baldwin M. E. church are beginning to see the trouble they are making for their neighbors and it is believed that it will not be necessary for the church authorities to pass any such request as was done in Ottawa.

The trustees of the M. E. church last Monday passed a resolution requesting the women to remove their hats at church services. Now since this is made after Easter has come and gone, it is hoped that the women will acquiesce in their request without further delay.
