PRIORITIES FOR 2011
SPIRITUAL GROWTH

RELATIONSHIPS / INTENTIONAL FELLOWSHIP Create fellowship through participation in small groups.
Establish avenues of communication with Baker students to develop ongoing relationships and provide service to students. FINANCE Create a “reserve” line item in the budget (Addition to the initial long range plan).
Educate the congregation on the importance of meeting the church’s obligation on apportionments. (Addition to the initial long range plan)
Provide necessary support to the Endowment Committee to develop and implement a plan to encourage contributions to the existing endowment fund. The endowment fund would continue to provide ongoing funds to maintain the church building and could create a memorial to honor those who have been faithful and wish to leave a legacy.
MEMBERSHIP Continue to support the current members of BFUMC.
Continue to develop and support new members of BFUMC.
Transfer the responsibility for welcoming and encouraging visitors to BFUMC to the pastor and other members of the congregation. (Addition to the initial long range plan)
Identify who, or which team, will be responsible for providing support for current, prospective and new members and determine how that support will be accomplished.
COMMUNICATIONS / TECHNOLOGY
Acquire the services of a person to support, and serve as a backup to, the current web-master.
Form a new team to serve as operators of the sound system for special events and Sundays.
Add the monthly edition of The Vine to the web site.
FACILITIES Complete a full building engineering assessment of the church.
Complete a space utilization analysis of the church. |

| Sewing for Africa |
