Ministering with music at Baldwin First

My heart is steadfast, O God; I will sing and make music with all my soul? I will praise you, O Lord, among the nations; I will sing of you among the peoples. For great is your love, higher than the heavens; your faithfulness reaches to the skies. Psalm 108:1-4

Speak to one another with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Ephesians 5:19-20

Music is so central to our worship of God whether the congregation raises the roof in corporate singing or we pour out our hearts to God listening to a CD while driving the car along the road music is a language through which we communicate our love to God and through which we hear God speak to us.

Vocal Choir- Our choir sings in the morning blended worship service, giving leadership to the corporate singing of all who are gathered for worship. Whether singing a traditional hymn or a contemporary chorus, our choir leads us to enter into the holy of holies, that is to draw closer and closer to God's presence among his worshiping people. The chancel choir also shares one or more cantatas during the year and other forms of special music. We are looking for a variety of musicians to help us in our blended music styles - guitarists, keyboardists, drummers, etc.
